More pics from Bob Marley Birthday Cruise 06/02/2013

Here’s some more pics from our little cruise around town for Bob Marley’s birthday.

Here is Craigs sisters Toyota Starlet ‘carat’ sporting Advan SA3R’s and 3 blokes in the back to try and slam it out for a photo.

No, Craig isn’t pointing and laughing. There’s not much to point and laugh about with this car. It’s pretty serious business.

Iain’s classic EG Civic was out as usual. Iain is an integral member of the Bwarp crew, and a meet wouldn’t be the same without the white slut EG in attendance. Sadly the little Civic ran into some mechanical troubles part way round the bays, so we left it there….

A front on shot of the Carat. interesting combination of vehicle + wheels. It’s certainly not huge in the performance stakes, but with a bit of a drop, it could be a nice wee summer cruiser for a female and her friends. (Sorry Craig, you are far better suited to the GT-Four)

Sean’s Honda City Turbo is looking tidy as ever. Especially sitting next to a seriously untidy Roadster.

Charlie’s CL1 Accord Euro R. Always immaculately kept as i’ve spouted on about many times in this blog. Bwarp meets are going crazy with tri-spokes these days. what’s with that?

Another shot of Tom’s FC RX7 Cabriolet…. i just couldn’t help myself.

Bit of a shot as the sun went down. I don’t usually do landscape…. it’s hard.

After a hearty feed of the Colonels finest fried chicken, we had some more banter and then drove into the night. Here’s Tom’s RX7 sitting at Mobil Kilbirnie after he’s just hemorrhaged money into the Mobil coffers to fill up the drop-top demon.

Happy Birthday Bob Marley.

One Love.

Bwarp Burgerfuel Meet – 23 November 2011 – PHOTOS – PART ONE

Holla sup.
Final Bwarp Burgerfuel Meet for the 2011 year was off the hook.
The rain held out, the wind fucked off for a bit and the burgers were superb.
Heaps of new faces came out, met some new GC’s and fapped over some pretty interesting technology.
Here’s the pics!
Steelie <3 This Civic was repping them hard. Got luv for that. IMG_7334resized
The infamous Phlex
Feel sorry for the baby onboard this weapon when pilot, Aaron, decides to step it out!
The camera is rolling, boys.
Dan and The Black Pearl – the jewel in the crown of Porirua.
This bike was BAOSSSSS. It’s rider, David, has owned it for around a year and has already put 17,000kms on the clock. That’s a farken long way! Good effort bro!
Here’s a different arse end shot to the usual shot of Josh’s EK9 ass. CARBON NOM.
People people people
Adam was there in his tidy OG Mirage, lyk a boss.
Usual suspect Jono had his Low Legacy Wagon out. Chyeah.
Iain graced us with his prescence along with his EG hack. Rusty panel trend be-gone! Sanded and partially bogged bonnets are the new hip thing.
One diesel to rule them all, one diesel to find them, one diesel to bring them all and in the darkness SMOKE THEM THE FUCK OUT! Nice one Jasper!
Ryan brought along RKLESS – Ryan has stepped the game up on this car with a new set of wheels. Along with his usual styz slammed ride height – the new feet set the car off. Nice work bro – I was very very very impressed with the standard of this car.
gettin’ dem burgers.
Jono – probably chatting up a bird – usual styz for this guy.
Dunno who this prick is. But he’s certainly not my younger brother……hah. Much love bro.
Someone doing it right.
If your car isn’t in this set of photos – it should bloody well be in the next lot.
Keep your eyes out cos the next post is on it’s way!!

Burgerfuel Bwarp Meet 24 August 2011

The 3rd Monthly Bwarp meet, once again, went off without a hitch.

A few new faces. A number of FRESH AS FUCK cars oh and of course the most OG Toyota Cressida I have ever laid eyes on…. *boner alert*

Naenae spek MR2

White pride

Citroen BX
Loki and Milks bought out this filthy Citroen BX. I’ve got mad love for these BX’s and this is no exception. SO ORIGINAL, SO DOPE.

Usual suspect, Aaron, cleaned his WRX before coming out. Looks NAICE when it’s clean!

Wee line up of cars including an Altezza with a wee secret under the hood 😮

Cube <3

The 4WD spek Cube.

EG Civic

Iain’s slut 😀

Slammed accord

Joule's Anus

Josh’s filthy anus.

Charlie lookin' FRESH

Charlie’s CL1 looking SO DAMN FRESH on it’s new shoes. Probably the reddest car I’ve ever seen.

Pedo ute

Altezza - with added goodies

Now I’ve left what I thought were some pretty special cars to the end.

First up is Baz (the owner of Burgerfuel Jville) and his Ford Falcon drag car. Don’t ask me what year it is, or what it’s running. The engine is too big for me to comprehend. My knowledge stops at pretty much anything over 3000cc…
He bought it out especially for us to have a look at. GC!

He explained to me that if he drove it nicely, it would use about 8 – 10 litres of fuel to drive from Johnsonville, out to the Hutt where he lives…. That’s quite a lot…..

and to make it even more impressive, he tells me that he was giving it a bit of a caning and practising some drag starts, managed to use 10 litres… in 8 kilometres…..

Burgerfuel Falcon Drag car

He is potentially the sole reason for global warming – but who cares! it sounds and looks awesome.

Now for my favourite car of the whole evening.

An 80’s Toyota Cressida, in mint original condition. Right down to the stereo.

Pimpin Cressida

In absolutely immaculate condition.

When I saw the condition of the paint on this car, my jaw hit the floor. The owner also tells me it’s the same paint it left the factory with, and the whole car has just clicked over 70,000kms. Yes SEVENTY THOUSAND. That’s sweet fuck all in Toyota time.

I was so impressed, not only with the car, but with the owner himself. Harley (the owner) is a very young lad (my guess is about 18??), and has chosen to steer away from the usual trend of removing the springs, putting a monster tacho in it, chucking a dumpy or rice cannon on it, and fitting it up with some sweet chromes boe, and he has gone the right way and left it original – just the way it should be. For his efforts he won a free dinner from Burgerfuel. There’s no way I could let his efforts go even slightly unrewarded. Churs for bringing it out, Harley!

and to the rest of you. Thanks for coming out. Once again it was good to catch up with all of you, meet a few new people, shoot the shit, and have a good feed.

Burger Fuel Bwarp Meet 27/07/2011

After the first Burgerfuel meet, people were keen for more. So who would I be to not organise another?

So the day rolled around, the weather looking a bit sketchy in the afternoon, and a few drops of rain before evening. Then the sun went down, the cloud cleared, the stars were out and it was FROSTY!

My nipples could cut glass, they were that sharp.

I took a few pics of the cars that showed up. It was another outstanding social meet, and as Duncan put it “proving the Wellington scene is alive and kicking!”.

Most were well behaved, only let down by some clown in a black (dark purple??) Integra who left really early and assumed we had never heard a VTEC car before, so valve bounced first gear as they ran a red light… *epic facepalm*

anyway, let’s not focus on the negative – here’s the pictures!

I don’t think I spoke to the owner of this S14a, but by god it is SO TIDY. Thanks for bringing it out for us all to drool over.

Julian from Obsessive Vehicle Security brought out his Honda Beat. It’s the first one I’ve seen up close in the flesh. So compact, but looks like it’d handle incredibly. I think I’d be a bit tall for it though 🙁

My lil bro, Adam, bought out his OG spec Mitsi Mirage. It’s JUST clicked over 70,000kms, it’s got a digital speedo (like a Time-travelling Delorean) and best of all – it’s on legit black plates. He’s had the hard word from me to keep it immaculate or I shall confiscate such a gem!

On the theme of old school cars, Corey rode out in his Grandads AK Shuttle. This is also in immaculate condition and has just clicked over 100,000kms. You may not be able to telll from the lighting in the photo, but from the factory it came out in a very light pink. So light it looks white here. The pictures don’t do it justice.

Bryce also came out in his S14a FR1SKI. He tells us he had to take it from the panel beater before the guy had even finished the work, because he was getting withdrawal symptoms from not driving it. I’d feel the same with a ride like this. It NEEDS to be driven!

The in-frequent tech writer on this blog, Geoff, drove his Shuttle out, complete with a few new additions such as bullbar and spot lights and some fat 5’s painted white. Looks HellaFunctional.

Goom’s new ride. Complete with hubcaps and 4×4 ride height. Goez hard fo what it iz tho bae. <3 IMG_5128resized

NZHondas/Spamcrew Te Papa Meet 21st May 2011

I’m not going to do a write up, cos I CBF’d.
