Dan’s Kaitoke camping trip

Dan did a write up for the blog after his recently organised camping meet. Here’s the deets and a set of photos from Andrew and Lyle. Enjoy.
The week between Christmas and New Years eve, everyone is glad the family stuff is done for another year and the anticipation of seeing in the new year is high, so what beats going to a camp ground and sleeping in tents for a night or two.
The invitation was open to most people but being “that” time of the year a lot of people were out of town or already had plans but the ones that were local and available made the most of it.
Lyle in his Mitsi, Geoff and myself in our Shuttles met up with Andrew in his Accord, Iain in the infamous white EG Civic and Craig in the GTFO Celica at Craig’s place and convoyed out to Kaitoke.
When we arrived it was raining but that didn’t dampen our spirits and we quickly found a nice sheltered area to set up camp.
During the evening we had Aaron and Max arrive in their Subys, Glen and Kat brought their Civic and Pajero out, Naomi turned up in her Accord and of course we got a visit from Gemma and the rowdy R’s Garage boys that have a tendency to get naked and show off their dangly bits.
As the evening progressed we drank, ate beautiful barbequed food, talked shit and made a sweet fire on the riverbed.
However mother nature had other ideas, she started out with light rain, progressed into heavy rain and then we got an amazing light show in the form of an impressive thunderstorm. We sat under the gazebo drinking and appreciating the entertainment that nature provided.
Come the morning the rain stopped, a few of our crew decided to go home and the rest of us had an amazing breakfast of bacon, hash browns, onions and steak before deciding to stay a second night….that is a story for another time though.
Cheers to everybody who came out you guys made it what it was, I had a blast and can’t wait for the next camping trip.

Bwarp Burgerfuel meets are BACK for 2012

Ahright, so we are in full swing of summer (or atleast we should be, the pissing down rain over the holiday period didn’t have me too convinced) and it’s time to get back into it and catch up with everyone and see what’s gone down over the holiday period!
Date: Wednesday 25th January 2012
Time: 7pm onward
Place: Burgerfuel Johnsonville, park up with the rest of us at the Burgerfuel end of the Woolworths/Countdown carpark
Usual rules apply, we will be in the public eye, so don’t be a douchebag. No need for skids or VTEC/boosting through the carpark as the supermarket is still in full use at this time.
Keen to catch up with ya’ll and check out some cars and see what everyone has been up to!

Bwarp Burgerfuel Meet – 23 November – PHOTOS PART TWOOOOO

Velcome to post number 100 of Bwarp.net.nz

Long time coming. Starting out as a blog amongst a few mates taking the piss, to something that now successfully holds a monthly meet where a bunch of GC’s come out have some burgers, have a yarn and fap on about cars. I love this shit!

To celebrate this 100th post – there was a bit of a photoshoot held in an underground carpark somewhere in the vicinty of Porirua after we had demo’d some burgers with our mates at Burgerfuel Johnsonville.

Here’s the pics.

Random Snap – Blue EG on Hutt Motorway

Kane and I went to visit Craig so he could spend his time cleaning Kanes ute (shot bro!). By 3.30pm the sun was beating down hard, and looked amazing on the refreshed paintwork of the Ute. We hopped back in the truck to head back to town, and the Civic below followed us along the Motorway. I signalled at him with the camera and directed a mini photoshoot using only hand gestures. We bloody fun hanging out the window of the ute snapping shots off as the Civic darted around us.

Here’s a couple of shots.

If anyone knows the owner of the car/if the owner is reading this – hit me up for a hi-res copy if you want it. Cheers for the photo-op, GC!
