CJC Wellington Meet 17/08/2012 – With Special guests from R’s Garage

Holla.
Early last week I get a text from my good friend, Gung, asking if the R’s Garage crew are keen for some burgers on Friday night. Any excuse for a hoon out to Wendys to fill my face with deliciously disgusting meat, cheese and fries. So the obvious answer was ‘HELL YEAH’
We stacked the Cube up with the usual suspects and headed on out to Wendy’s.
After devouring the majority of the menu, we jumped back on the motorway and headed back to ptown for some quiet banter and some time to take pics of the cars.
Here’s the few photos I took. The rest of the time I was too busy bantering and watching JD try and find his way out of the carpark…. nice one JDriz.

Jono’s tidy as Civic. This guy has a different set of wheels for every day of the week, I swear.

Here’s the DC5 I posted a photo of earlier in the week. So tidy. Advan wheels look excellent on it too. Mint tidy road car. Love it
DC5 Integra Type R
Gung’s Honda Civic FD2R. With another set of wheels. I haven’t seen this car on wheels that don’t suit it yet. Gung has impeccable taste in vehicles!

Mean as meet.
Caught up with some old faces, and met and bantered with some new characters.
PEACE.

BwarpKarts 2012

Finally getting around to posting this up….taken long enough….
Bwarp.net.nz decided to hold a bit of a karting tournament to settle all the trash talk that was going down after we posted up some other photos of us fanging karts around.

A selection of 3 driver teams were invited to race they were:

Rangi Kustomz
Team Sloot
Skids On Krew (SOK)

The date was set for 6th of June and North City Indoor Raceway was booked for ‘Le Mans style’ endurance racing.

120 lap total, split between 3 drivers. each driver did 20 laps and then swapped, so they got two sessions. With this style also comes skill and teamwork when doing driver swaps. Driver changes can make or break a race for the team.

All drivers lined up down the front straight and sprinted for the karts on the word go.

The battles were raging on the race track with Jasper (Rangi Kustomz) desperately trying to fend off James (R’s Garage), Dan (Team Bwarp) trying to get the pass on Loryn (Team Sloot), and everyone else trying to safely pass Craig (SOK) who was spending time getting to know the tyre wall. Milk (PP&C) also found a new ‘hot line’ running straight through pit lane at full tilt after the brake lever on his kart broke.

After 120 laps, Rangi Kustomz came out on top with R’s Garage close behind (even though Kris stopped 1 lap too early, and had to get back in the Kart and finish his last lap)

anyway – here’s some action shots.
